UZT provides opportunities for unemployed and employed (working) people to learn and acquire new qualifications and competencies that create high-added value and cover program fees.

The UZT funding program gives an opportunity for every working and non-working resident of Lithuania to apply to and, once confirmed, use to upskill or change career. With this funding, any Lithuanian has an opportunity to cover tuition and learn Data Analytics, Data Science, Web development, Digital Marketing & Analytics, AI Engineering or AI for Business Analytics at Turing College!

Am I eligible for UZT funding?

You most likely are if you live in Lithuania! Here are the criteria:

• You’re resident in Lithuania (a residence permit solely for work does not suffice).

• You're between the ages of 18 and 67.

• You haven't used UZT funding in last 3 years.

• Graduated vocational school or college, university.

❗Note that if you have graduated from a non-Lithuanian university, you will need to translate your diploma when applying to UZT.

How can I get the UZT funding?

1. Apply to Turing College and go through the admission process.

2. Register on the UZT website and book a consultation meeting (see guidelines “how to register”).

3. Ask for funding to learn at Turing College's chosen program (program codes and official naming stated in section above: Turing College programs with UZT funding).

4. Get confirmation from UZT for funding and inform us about it via chat.

UZT contract types

General information: signing a contract with UZT

Before deciding on a contract type with UZT, it's important to grasp their nuances to align with your career goals and situation.

💵Funding Flexibility: Tripartite vs. Bilateral Agreements

When it comes to securing funding opportunities with UZT, you have two primary options: tripartite agreement and bilateral agreement. Both of these agreements offer funding for specific competencies outlined in your learning agreement. You'll have a UZT study period* to acquire these competencies. Upon completion, you'll receive a UZT proof of completion document recognizing your achievement.

UZT study period - this is a period of time mentioned in your UZT contract (3,5-7months). During this period, your responsibility is to gain competencies outlined in your learning agreement.

👩‍💻Continued Learning and Responsibilities at Turing College

After the initial learning period, you'll still have the opportunity to continue your studies at Turing College and gain additional competencies at no extra cost. However, the specific requirements for your continued learning may change based on the contract you've signed with UZT at the beginning of your learning journey. Upon completing the official UZT study period, you're expected by UZT to apply the skills you've acquired in the job market. If you choose to continue learning concurrently, the details of your learning timeline will depend on the contract you sign with UZT.

Tripartite Agreement

You must have an employer willing to sign the agreement with you. This agreement involves you, your current employer, and UZT.

Considerations:

• After completing the UZT study period (length dependant on the program):

  • requirement to UZT: you're obligated to continue working at your current company for 6 months;

    • transition to different job code: reflecting a change in career trajectory based on your program at Turing College;

    • update current job description: incorporating newly acquired competencies, confirmed by an official document from your employer.

  • learning at TC: your deadlines will become recommended.

Discuss any matters regarding fulfillment of requirements with your personal UZT consultant, who verifies compliance.

Bilateral Agreement

This agreement involves you and UZT, offering two distinct options:

• Sign a job contract (underlined option in the contract 2.1.2.1.1. dirbti pagal darbo sutartį arba darbo santykiams prilygintų teisinių santykių pagrindu);

• Start working independently, open Individual Activity (IV) (underlined option in the contract 2.1.2.1.2. dirbti savarankiškai).

Option 1: Sign a job contract

Considerations:

• After completing the UZT study period (length dependant on the program):

  • requirement to UZT: a new job contract integrating your newly acquired competencies: you have an additional 6 months for job searching.

  • learning at TC: your deadlines will become recommended.
    Maintaining a faster pace than the UZT deadline is advised to maximize opportunities: acquire additional competencies before entering the job market.

Important note: failure to secure employment within the stipulated timeframe may necessitate reimbursement of received funding.

Option 2: Start working independently, open Individual Activity (IV)

Considerations:

• After completing the UZT study period (length dependant on the program):

  • requirement to UZT: open an IV (individual activity) within 30 working days and have it open for six months;

  • learning at TC: your deadlines will become recommended;

Important note: freedom to explore opportunities at your own pace!

We advise to discuss any matters regarding fulfillment of requirements with your personal UZT consultant, who verifies compliance.

What if I want to change my bilateral agreement option to another one?

If you've already signed a bilateral agreement but wish to switch to another option, it's possible to do so. You should contact your personal UZT consultant and request the change. If approved, you will sign an updated contract reflecting the new option.

Information about the pricing and Career Program

UZT covers up to 4620 EUR + Career Program (with special conditions).

The career program offers various valuable services including mock interviews, social media checks, access to a database of hiring partners, personalized 1-on-1 career consultations, and career stand-up sessions.

⭐ Special Conditions for the Career Program:

• individual learners will be granted access after completing the mandatory UZT modules within deadlines;

• business learners are not eligible for the free offer but can choose to access it for a fee (contact staff via platform chat).

💡Important points: during the UZT study period (applicable to all programs)

• It’s mandatory to adhere to UZT learning time-tracking requirements and to meet our internal deadlines throughout the entire UZT study period as shown on the Platform. Follow the instructions there to see what applies to your individual situation.

Throughout the UZT study period, even after completing the UZT required modules, it is mandatory for you to adhere to the time-tracking requirements and internal deadlines.

• If you have a certificate of incapacity for work, which is registered in Sodra during this period and are unable to study please notify us in advance by writing to the support chat with the exact dates.

• Unemployed individuals or those dismissed during the learning period and granted unemployed status will receive a monthly stipend from UZT: €3.18 per attended hour, or the unemployment social insurance benefit amount. For any questions, contact UZT.

• Failure to meet deadlines may result in the termination of your study agreement.

• In the event of termination, you are obligated to repay the funding provided by UZT. Please contact support chat to discuss your individual case.

💡Important points: after the UZT study period (applicable to all programs)

• Your UZT proof of completion document will be issued and sent to both you and UZT on the last day of your official UZT study period.

• You will receive the UZT proof of completion document only if you have finished the required UZT modules before the end date of your official UZT study period.

❗If you finish the required UZT modules before the official end date, the issuance of the UZT proof of completion document will still occur on the last day of the official end date. Until then, you remain an official UZT learner.

• You can only start fulfilling the requirements of UZT after the official end date.

Even if you complete the minimum required modules ahead of schedule, you must wait until the official end date to begin fulfilling UZT requirements.

• The UZT proof of completion document is provided exclusively in Lithuanian. The Turing College completion certificate, which you are able to receive later and which we advise sharing on LinkedIn, will be in English.

• You are able to terminate your agreement at any point. However, please keep in mind that you must fulfill UZT requirements and complete them to avoid financial consequences. The specific requirement depends on the contract you have signed with UZT.

Specific information about the programs

Important for Data Analytics

1. Data Analytics program coverage: UZT covers 4620 EUR + Career Program* (with special conditions, please refer to "Important information about the pricing and Career Program").

2. Recipients of UZT funding for this program are required to:

• Fully complete 2 modules + 1 sprint within 6 months. Turing College deadlines (which are stricter) must be followed, with extensions available upon request
  (learners with a batch start date before 2024-10-16 - 2 modules +1 sprint within 7 months.)

❗Failure to meet this requirement will result in the obligation to repay the funding provided by UZT; ❗

3. Completion of the required UZT modules provides an additional benefit: career program and access to the entire DA program for 12 months (starting from the first day of joining the platform).

2. Recipients of UZT funding for this program are required to:

• Fully complete 1st module + 1 st sprint of 2nd module within 6 months. Turing College deadlines (which are stricter) must be followed, with extensions available upon request

❗Failure to meet this requirement will result in the obligation to repay the funding provided by UZT; ❗

3. Completion of the required UZT modules provides an additional benefit: career program and access to the entire DS program for 16 months (starting from the first day of joining the platform).

4. Completing 3 modules by following deadlines (approx. 8-12 months total) (extensions can be given), gives an extra benefit:  access to corrections in the Deep Learning and Specialisation modules.

📢It is important to note that the first three modules of Data Science program provide comprehensive coverage for the majority of learners. In fact, these modules are sufficient for 95% of learners, as they cover all the fundamental concepts and techniques of Data Science.

💻However, for those who are passionate about the field and aim to pursue a career with Deep learning, the fourth module and its specialization modules offer the opportunity to delve deeper into the subject matter. This module is designed for individuals who are truly determined to expand their knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of the field.

• Fully complete 1st module + 2nd module 2 sprints within 7 months. Turing College deadlines (which are stricter) must be followed, with extensions available upon request
  (learners with a batch start date before 2024-02-26: complete within 6 months.)

3. Completion of the required UZT module provides an additional benefit: access to Capstone Project and deep learning topics. Full access to the Platform lasts for 5 months (starting from the first day of joining the platform).
