Why should we use a virtual background?

Let’s face it, learning or working from home then it’s only a matter of time before one of your video calls gets interrupted by a pet, a house mate, a child, a partner or all of the above. While it may seem funny at first, this can also be a massive distraction from what you’re trying to achieve.

Virtual backgrounds can help you and your audience focus on what matters, you. 

What virtual background should I use?

We’re sharing a ready-to-use Turing College background, and we encourage you to use it. For now, we have the light and dark mode covers from our latest design, branded for you - our learners. While we encourage you to use your background, it’s your choice at the end of the day. If you decide to use your own, please pick nature backgrounds, workspace backgrounds, pictures of conference rooms. Of course, a solid color background can work as well.
