The information below applies only to scholarship receivers.

Turing College learners form a community of high-achievers, which is undoubtedly reflected in their careers. Turing College team is super motivated that after completing the course, you would land the job you want to work at, and we are here to do our very best that this job would be reasonable and reflect market reality. In simple words, Turing College staff will and should be very close to you in every step you take while landing your dream job.

Some internal rules apply in particular employment cases that are stated below.

We call them exemptions in our Terms & Conditions, meaning these are the cases in which you will not be asked to pay back for the scholarship received.

  • If you already have a high-paid job:

An individual minimum salary can be arranged below which you don’t need to take an Hiring Partner (HP) job offer.

  • If you are still studying but graduating soon:

There is a possibility of agreeing not to enforce taking an HP job before finishing your studies.

  • If you received two job offers (from HP and from non-HP):

If both offers are received while studying or within the first month after your graduation, and there is a significantly better job offer from non-HP (e.g., salary is more than 20% better) - Turing College will make an exemption which will result in no obligation for you to pay back for not taking an HP offer.

Note: if you do not have any HP offers, this does not apply.

  • If while working at the current company, you received an offer to switch to a data job:

Turing College will not be able to make an exemption for the obligation to pay back unless the salary offered is much higher than what our HPs offer on average.

To avoid legal responsibility for paying the back course, the company must become Turing College HP.

  • If there are no suitable job positions from our HPs during the first month after graduation:

You are allowed to take a non-HP job offer. In each case, the suitability of the job offer will be discussed with the Turing College team individually.

  • If you decide to take an internship while studying at Turing College:

It's not likely to cause any problems. Still, you must confirm such a decision with the Turing College. However, taking a full-time job afterwards will have default conditions as taking any non-HP job.

  • If you have a job before joining the course:

You don’t need to quit current job before joining the course no matter where you work at - HP or non-HP company.

  • If you have applied to at least 80% of all available Hiring Partners and have received negative responses from them:

Turing College will treat your case as exception and you will not be asked to return the granted scholarship. You will also be able to apply to non-HP jobs.

A few specific rules apply in cases of relocation and remote jobs ⬇️

  • If the company offers a remote-only job:

You are not obligated to accept it. Also, in such cases, the relocation is not mandatory.

  • If you have a remote-job-only preference that would result in not taking viable on-site jobs:

You will be asked to return the scholarship received.

Please inform Turing College staff about your situation via the 📩 platform support chat.
This way will be able to discuss your individual case and advice appropriately.
