Workshops will provide a learning environment led by STLs, where learners can follow along, ask questions, and engage with the STL according to a workshop topic (Workshops structure below).
Learners can join and choose from the first several workshops starting a week after joining Turing College.
Learners will occasionally see repeating workshops, e.g. Spreadsheets workshop in this case. You can join them twice if needed, even though the content will be more or less similar. We’ve created additional slots to ensure learners can join if one time doesn’t suit their schedule. Each time we update or change the workshop scenarios, we’ll let you know in the os_workshops_schedule_ai channel. Although, usually it will go through similar tasks as in the workshop before.
Learners will have the ability to choose specific workshop times in the learning calendar, as each workshop will offer one or two possible times during the week.
It would be more relevant to join a specific workshop topic when you're at the corresponding part. For example:
Join the AI Spreadsheets Workshop when you're in the Spreadsheets part or have already completed it.
You can still join even if you haven't reached that part yet, but without prior experience, it may be more challenging.
Learners don’t need to be in the Virtual Classroom if they choose to attend a workshop at that time. The system will track the time if the workshop event happens according to the selected learning schedule.
For AI for Business Analytics learners, joining workshops is mandatory, with a requirement to attend at least four different workshops throughout the UZT-funded period.
