Non-batch learner's onboarding
Welcome!
The start of your course at Turing College is fast approaching! So here we collected all relevant information for your smooth preparation and a magnificent start
1st step: pre-course material
Here is a quick reminder to not forget about pre-course material for those who already got the email with the pre-course information. Since being accepted to Turing College does not fully depend on your prior coding and maths experience, it is possible that you will initially lack some of the basic skills that are needed for progressing through the course at an average pace. Rest assured, however, that this is something you will be capable of dealing with and that we will help you with the process.
The first step is to start going through the recommended material and courses. This is a list of content that we believe to be useful for the introduction to various concepts that will be required throughout our Data Science course. If programming is not your strong suit, we recommend spending as much time on this as possible before the actual data science course.
If you feel like you are really struggling and that the pre-course material is becoming a real problem, get in touch with the Community team (study@turingcollege.com)
2nd step: a special gift from us
If you completed pre-course step, please continue your preparation by filling in this form. We’ve prepared a special gift just for you, but we need more details about you in order to get it to you. Thanks!
3rd step: onboarding material
As you’re joining Turing College without belonging to any batch, your start moments here will look slightly different from the others. But don’t worry about that! We have prepared a full list for you to take a look at before the course. Moreover, you’ll have an individual meeting with our Turing College Staff to fully onboard you to the Turing College Data Science course.
First of all, we have prepared an info-pack about essential topics, so we kindly ask you to take your time to read the following topics:
