The Turing College Endorsement is a career preparation opportunity that we offer learners like you which dramatically increases your chances of landing a job or receiving a promotion that matches your skills and personality. Although it will require a reasonable amount of time from your end, by the end of the endorsement process, you will be able to showcase the soft and the hard skills needed, maximise your potential, and will be confident enough to participate in real job interviews.
Receiving a Turing College Endorsement is a big deal 🤝
It means that not only have you met or exceeded all the technical and professional requirements of the Turing College curriculum, you have also demonstrated a strong ability to work with peers, drive your job search and career development - you are now ready to land a job or receive a promotion!🏁
It is also the way which helps us help you to prepare for each step that you will face later in hiring. By doing so, we will be able to guarantee that Turing College can recommend you both to our Hiring Partners that have suitable positions for you, and for companies that you apply to on your own.
Can I receive the Turing College endorsement?
Endorsement is available to every learner (except for Digital Explorers II and Digital Explorers Iraq Edition project learners). Before the endorsement starts, 🔍 Turing College reviews the entire learner’s performance: project reviews, ability to meet the deadlines, stand-up attendance, and learner’s interactions within the community.
Turing College reserves the right not to endorse the learner if learner’s progress or failure to follow the code of conduct would indicate that the learner is not meeting Turing College standards.
In case Turing College cannot recommend you, you will be informed via the platform, after the revision of the 1st step.
Note |

To receive the Turing College endorsement, meeting deadlines is mandatory. Extensions are possible when needed and much more flexible compared to UZT period (for LT government-funded learners). |

Endorsement step-by-step guide
Your career preparation will happen via the platform and all you’ll have to do is to simply follow the endorsement steps provided. Each step consists of a few actions required from your end.
Step 1: Setting up your hiring profile
Log in to the platform and initiate the endorsement process;
Select your desired direction from the available roles based on the program you’ve joined;
Fill out your personal details and answer a few questions on your workplace preferences as instructed.
Step 2: Social media profiles preparation
Focus on preparing your LinkedIn and GitHub accounts;
Refer to the Social Media Preparation Guidelines provided by Turing College for detailed instructions;
Ensure your profiles showcase your skills and experiences effectively.
Step 3: Participation in 2 mock interviews
Main idea: you will be asked to participate in 2 mock interviews that are designed to simulate and closely mimic the real job interviews.
Upon scheduling: mock interviews are conducted based on your selection of a few job ads you find in currently open job postings. This doesn’t imply that you will necessarily apply to those job vacancies; rather, these postings serve to assist you in simulating the preparation and the interview itself.
Expert-led: the mock interviews will be led by our HR Partner and Senior Team Leads who hire regularly. The emphasis will be placed on evaluating your soft and technical skills acquired at Turing College, as well as your prior work and educational experiences.
Preparation: if you haven't had prior experience with interviews of this nature, there's no need to fret. We'll provide you with a list of preparations to ensure you're ready.
Post-Interview feedback: following the interview, you'll receive an evaluation - either "passed" or "not passed." Additionally, you'll receive personalised feedback aimed at enhancing your interview performance and insights on how to maximise the benefits of the interview process itself.
Approval requirement: you should pass both mock interviews to finalize the career preparation process and receive the Turing College endorsement.
Retake procedure: in the event that one of the mock interviews or both of them don’t receive a passing grade, you'll need to reschedule and retake it until you successfully complete this stage.
Submission and feedback
Submit each completed step for revision by Turing College staff. You will receive either approval or insights highlighting the key points for improvement. Once all steps are successfully completed, you will then receive the Turing College endorsement and advance to the hiring stage.

Access to learning tools after max. access comes to an end
Once maximum platform access is reached, BigQuery access will remain available for one to two months. Additionally, ensure you know which Google account is storing your projects or presentations. This is crucial because when your BigQuery access expires, the Google account provided by Turing College will be terminated as well. To save your important projects, please transfer them to your personal, private Google accounts.
Visualization Tools and Capstone Project after maximum access:
Tableau: Since Tableau Public is free and the data uploaded there is not directly linked with BigQuery, you should encounter no issues in maintaining your work, such as presenting your Capstone project to potential employers using Tableau.
Looker Studio: Potential problems may arise here. As previously stated, once maximum platform access ends, you'll still have one to two months of access, but if your access to BigQuery is disabled, it's likely that your work (e.g., Capstone project) on Looker Dashboards will be lost. Additionally, Looker Studio typically has a 60-day expiration period, during which you won't be able to view anything on the dashboards. However, this can be resolved if you have access at that time to the BigQuery.
To avoid these issues, we recommend completing the Capstone Project using your own accounts for BigQuery, in case you are working on Looker Studio. It's worth noting that your account may initially be in demo mode, which could potentially introduce minor issues. To solve it, during the setup stage, please be prepared to input your credit card details.
Also, for your public profile on platforms like LinkedIn and Github, we encourage featuring exclusively the Capstone project. This project, being a unique and independently undertaken endeavor, is something that you can proudly present publicly. Choosing to showcase only this project safeguards it from potential replication by others. Additionally, it ensures that your work maintains its impressive impact, avoiding dilution that may occur if many individuals share similar projects.
